Core Workflows

1. Submitting Your First Idea

The most common workflow is submitting a new idea or problem:

1. Click "Submit Feedback" button
2. Choose type: Idea (feature request) or Problem (bug report)
3. Write a clear title (5-200 characters)
4. Add detailed description (20-5000 characters)
5. Select a category (optional)
6. Submit and automatically follow for updates

2. Voting on Existing Submissions

Found a submission you care about? Vote to signal priority:

1. Browse the feedback board
2. Click the upvote arrow (⬆) next to the title
3. You'll automatically follow the item
4. Adjust notification preferences in your profile

3. Tracking Progress

See what the team is working on:

1. Click "Roadmap" in the navigation
2. View submissions in kanban or list layout
3. Filter by status: Planned, In Progress, Shipped
4. Click any item to see details and comments

Tips for Effective Feedback

  1. Be Specific — "Add dark mode to dashboard" is better than "improve UI"
  2. Search First — Avoid duplicates by checking if someone already submitted your idea
  3. Provide Context — Explain why you need the feature or what problem it solves
  4. Vote, Don't Duplicate — If you find an existing submission, upvote it instead of creating a new one
  5. Follow Up — Check back for team responses in the comments

Notification Preferences

Control how often you hear from Canviq:

Frequency Description
Realtime Instant email for every update (noisy)
Daily Digest One email per day with all updates
Weekly Digest One email per week summarizing activity
Off No email notifications (in-app only)

Change your preferences in User Profile → Notifications.

Multilingual Support

Canviq supports 8 languages:

  • English (en)
  • Spanish (es)
  • French (fr)
  • German (de)
  • Russian (ru)
  • Portuguese (pt-BR)
  • Japanese (ja)
  • Italian (it)

Change your language preference in the footer language selector. All UI strings, submission categories, and email notifications will adapt to your chosen locale.

Privacy & Data Export

Canviq is GDPR-compliant. You have the right to:

  • Export your data — Download a JSON file with all your submissions, votes, and comments
  • Delete your account — Request account deletion with a 30-day grace period
  • Opt out of cookies — Disable non-essential analytics cookies via the consent banner
